FLOWERheadZ for Fall

Bring a fantasy garden inside this fall, a job easily done with Hugh Findletar’s, a.k.a. Mr. FLOWERheadZ, vases and glass objects. The vases, the FLOWERheadZ, are just as beautiful with or without flowers and will bring joy to every day. Findletar works with the best craftsmen in the traditional glass furnaces of Murano. Each vase is unique, a portrait of a friend or source of inspiration for the artist.

Trained as a photographer in NYC in the 1980’s working with fashion and for the top magazines, Findletar become intrigued by the possibilities of traditional glass making in Venice. Merging portraiture, craft and his passion for flower arrangement, the FLOWERheadZ were born. The vases, the FISHieZ//fish and the owls//PatooK are often inspired by his native Jamaica. Today he lives and works in Milano and Venice.

A favorite of Italian fashionistas, Findletar has done collaborations with Pomellato and Boyy, as well as showing in Parisian couture fleurist Stéphane Chapelle’s in Paris. His work has been seen with the Spaceless Gallery, at the museum of glass in Venice and Paris, in windows for Hotel Costes, with galleries at Design Miami, at Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milano, and at Paris Art Week at Grand Palais with l’Eclaireur Gallery.
