The Quintessential Nordic Museum Experience at Louisiana Museum.

Travelers' tip: Bridging Modern and Contemporary art, indoors and outdoors, the Louisiana Museum of Moderna Art keeps us coming back since 1958.

The works in the Sculpture Park are installed so that they interact with the architecture and the surrounding nature. This is true, for example, of Henry Moore’s sculpture Reclining Figure No. 5 (Seagram), which stands out by the cliff with the Sound as a forever changing backdrop. Look out for works by artists like Max Ernst, Richard Serra and Alicja Kwade. Current highlights in the galleries include a stunning mid-career retrospective with Mamma Andersson, Pia Arke who was an early voice on Nordic colonialism based on her dual ethnicity in Greenland and Denmark and Arthur Jafa, winner of the Gold Lion at the Venice Biennale 2019.
